What Is This?
Internal component that keeps the needle centred and on-axis inside the airbrush body. Controls the forward-back movement of the needle and directly affects how precisely paint flow responds to trigger input.
What It Does Inside the Airbrush
📍 Keeps needle on-axis
Prevents the needle from drifting during use — off-axis needle causes asymmetric spray patterns even with a perfect nozzle.
🎚️ Transmits trigger movement
Wear introduces slack between trigger and needle — result is vague, imprecise paint volume control.
🛡️ Protects the needle
Stable guidance reduces lateral stress and lowers the risk of needle bending during reassembly.
When You Need This Part

⚠️ Vague trigger response — pull-back sloppy, hard to repeat same paint volume
