The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of British night fighter in 1:48 scale.
Beaufighter aircraft was developed as a private project of Bristol AC Company, based on Beaufort bomber. Because of the lack of heavy fighters in their squadrons, command of the RAF decided to order the aircraft of this type, even before its test flight. Beaufighter was a great design, it was quite heavy but perfectly armed. 4 Hispano-Suiza cannons and 6 Browning MG-s was able to tear apart any German plane. Because of the weight, the aircraft was not the fastest, but it was able to catch the bombers of the Luftwaffe. Beaufighter fairly quickly found the use as a night fighter and held this role until the introduction of the Mosquito aircraft to the service. When they found out how versatile was a machine project in Beaufighters, equipped with bombs and torpedoes superbly held themselves as a Coastal Command patrol aircraft and as a ground attack aircraft.
Tamiya plastic model kit allows the assembly of the British heavy fighter Bristol Beaufighter Mk. VI along with the pilot and gunner. You can choose the plane in one of two versions: a night fighter and attack aircraft. Box includes 6 sprues with parts, sprue with transparent elements (deflectors, visors, lamps) and decals (allows reconstruction of planes from day and night squadrons).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
