Product overview
Cavalry, large infantry and monsters on round bases still have to rank up in square-based games. These trays give units on 40 mm to 100 mm rounds a square footprint without touching the models. Each tray is a flat plate with round recesses on top and a square outside edge. The models stay on their own bases and are placed in the recesses, so the unit ranks up edge to edge with square-based regiments. Nothing is glued, nothing is prised off a base and nothing is rebased, so painted models are not at risk. The tray also keeps the unit together on the way to the table. It suits Kings of War, The 9th Age, Conquest and similar games.
Six conversions: 40 mm round to 40 mm or 50 mm square, 50 mm round to 50 mm square, and 60 mm, 80 mm or 100 mm round to 100 mm square. The 40 to 50 conversion steps up for games that ask for a larger square than the round base.
52 options. 40 mm to 40 mm runs from 2×1 up to 7×6, 40 mm to 50 mm from 2×1 up to 4×4 and 50 mm to 50 mm from 2×1 up to 5×5. The 100 mm conversions come as 2×1 only. A 7×6 tray holds 42 models.
Outside footprint is (bases across × square size) + 4 mm by (ranks × square size) + 4 mm. A 4×2 tray of 40 mm squares measures 164 × 84 mm. Overall thickness is 5 to 6 mm.
Each option states the round base size it is cut for. The spec table lists the measured footprint, height, seat diameter and wall for every option.
Black PLA, FDM 3D-printed to order from an in-house design. Fine layer lines and a Z-seam are normal on a printed part, not defects, and disappear under primer.
It means seven positions wide and five positions deep, for a total of 35 positions. Always confirm the listed base fit as the same formation can be available for different base formats.
How do I choose the right movement tray+
Match the tray to the shape and size of the bases you are using, then choose the formation you need. Check the selected product's drawing and specifications for base fit and overall tray footprint; do not choose by model count alon
How should I use the technical drawing?+
Choose your option first, then use the technical drawing and Technical Specifications to check the physical dimensions of the product. When matching an existing part or accessory, use the drawing rather than relying on the product name alone.
Can I rely on the nominal size alone?+
No. Products with similar nominal sizes can have different physical dimensions or fit differently across brands and systems. Check the technical drawing, specifications and any product-specific compatibility note before ordering.
