Product overview
Rank-and-file games ask for square footprints, while plenty of current miniatures come on 28 mm or 32 mm rounds. These trays bridge the two without rebasing. Each tray is a flat plate with round recesses on top and a square outside edge. The models stay on their own bases and are placed in the recesses, so the unit ranks up edge to edge with square-based regiments. Nothing is glued, nothing is prised off a base and nothing is rebased, so painted models are not at risk. The tray also keeps the unit together on the way to the table. It suits Kings of War, The 9th Age, Conquest, ASOIAF and similar games.
Three conversions: 28 mm round to 30 mm square, 32 mm round to 32 mm square and 32 mm round to 40 mm square. The 32 to 40 conversion steps up for games that ask for a larger square than the round base.
94 options. 28 mm to 30 mm and 32 mm to 32 mm run from 2×1 up to 9×6. 32 mm to 40 mm runs from 2×1 up to 6×4, plus a 5×5. A 9×6 tray holds 54 models.
Outside footprint is (bases across × square size) + 4 mm by (ranks × square size) + 4 mm. A 4×3 tray of 32 mm squares measures 132 × 100 mm. Overall thickness is 4.7 to 5 mm.
Each option states the round base size it is cut for. The spec table lists the measured footprint, height, seat diameter and wall for every option.
Black PLA, FDM 3D-printed to order from an in-house design. Fine layer lines and a Z-seam are normal on a printed part, not defects, and disappear under primer.
It means seven positions wide and five positions deep, for a total of 35 positions. Always confirm the listed base fit as the same formation can be available for different base formats.
How do I choose the right movement tray+
Match the tray to the shape and size of the bases you are using, then choose the formation you need. Check the selected product's drawing and specifications for base fit and overall tray footprint; do not choose by model count alon
How should I use the technical drawing?+
Choose your option first, then use the technical drawing and Technical Specifications to check the physical dimensions of the product. When matching an existing part or accessory, use the drawing rather than relying on the product name alone.
Can I rely on the nominal size alone?+
No. Products with similar nominal sizes can have different physical dimensions or fit differently across brands and systems. Check the technical drawing, specifications and any product-specific compatibility note before ordering.
