Product overview
An own-brand OBS adapter for one job: making models on oval bases rank up like models on square ones. Each piece is a shallow tray, 3D printed to order in black PLA, with an oval seat — or a grid of seats — cut into the top. Drop a model that is already on its oval base into the seat and it presents a rectangular footprint, so the unit can move and measure as a block; nothing is glued, nothing is rebased, and the model lifts back out. For players fielding oval-based units in ranked-up games such as Kings of War or The 9th Age.
- The seat is cut for one oval standard only — choose the size your models are already based on: 60x35mm, 75x42mm, 90x52mm, 105x70mm, 120x92mm, 150x95mm or 170x105mm.
- Two formation families: grids from a single seat (1x1, the make-one-base-rectangular piece) up to six across and three deep, and the stepped Lance 3 and Lance 6 blocks for a cavalry-style charge, whose outline is not a plain rectangle.
- The outer footprint is bespoke to the oval, not an off-the-shelf rectangle size. Exact figures vary by option and are given in the specification table and, for most options, on the option's own technical drawing — if you need a particular frontage, check it before ordering.
- One printed piece in black PLA, printed to order and supplied unpainted, ready to take texture, sand or paint.
- Fine layer lines and a Z-seam are normal on an FDM-printed part — not defects — and disappear under a coat of primer.
- Part of the OBS range, so bases, converters, trays and adapters share one set of dimensions.
Compatible with popular tabletop miniatures; not affiliated with, endorsed by or produced by Games Workshop.
Notes · Q & A
What does a formation such as 7 × 5 mean
It means seven positions wide and five positions deep, for a total of 35 positions. Always confirm the listed base fit as the same formation can be available for different base formats.
How do I choose the right movement tray
Match the tray to the shape and size of the bases you are using, then choose the formation you need. Check the selected product's drawing and specifications for base fit and overall tray footprint; do not choose by model count alon
How should I use the technical drawing?
Choose your option first, then use the technical drawing and Technical Specifications to check the physical dimensions of the product. When matching an existing part or accessory, use the drawing rather than relying on the product name alone.
Can I rely on the nominal size alone?
No. Products with similar nominal sizes can have different physical dimensions or fit differently across brands and systems. Check the technical drawing, specifications and any product-specific compatibility note before ordering.
