Vallejo Metal Color Gunmetal Grey 77.720 is a dark grey metallic shade for machinery, mechanical components and other model parts requiring a deeper metal colour. Its darker value separates it from aluminium and steel shades while retaining the reflective character of an aluminium-pigment finish. The 32 ml water-based paint is formulated chiefly for airbrush application on plastic and metal, but it can also be applied by brush to smaller areas.
- May be airbrushed directly or diluted with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver.
- Recommended compressor pressure: 15–20 PSI.
- Dries quickly and forms a self-levelling layer.
- Allow 12 hours before applying masking materials.
- Hinged-cap eyedropper bottle contains a stainless steel stirring ball.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
