Tamiya's JGSDF Type 16 Mobile Combat Vehicle in 1/35 depicts a C5 vehicle fitted with a recovery winch. The eight-wheeled Type 16 entered service from 2016 with a rifled 105 mm gun and a top speed of around 100 km/h, serving Japan's rapid deployment regiments. C5 vehicles, from the 2020 budget, keep the C4's turret-rear air conditioning unit and were the first to carry a towing winch for recovering disabled vehicles. The kit shows the winch cable run from the hull rear over the top to the front using the string supplied, with a slim cleaning rod case, turret rails and photo-etched basket guards. The model is 248 mm long.
