Scale75 Inktense Crimson is a transparent acrylic ink for applying crimson glazes over existing paintwork. Its concentrated pigmentation can deepen or intensify red areas while preserving the highlights, shadows and detail already established underneath. Rather than behaving like a conventional opaque acrylic base colour, it is designed to alter a surface through translucent layers. The satin-finish ink may be applied by brush or airbrush and mixed with other Scale75 acrylic colours.
Use water for brush dilution or thinner for airbrush dilution.
Second ink in Inktensity Set 2, reference SSE-062.

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
