Product Information

01 Product description

💊 Pill Shape Wargaming Bases

Premium 3D printed | Stadium/racetrack shape | Size range 30-190mm | Select size from dropdown

💊 What Are Pill Bases?

Pill bases (stadium/racetrack shape) feature rounded ends with straight sides - like a capsule. They combine benefits of oval and rectangle bases: softer visual profile than rectangles, more stable than ovals, with natural directional indicators.

Best For: Skirmish games, vehicles, bikes, cavalry, display pieces, custom homebrew systems. The elongated shape suits models with directional movement or length.

⚠️ Important - Non-Standard Shape

Pill/stadium bases are NOT standard for mainstream wargames. They're not used in Warhammer 40K, Age of Sigmar, or most tournament systems. Check your game's rules before buying. Ideal for custom projects, display models, vehicles, and homebrew gaming where you set the rules.

🎨 Usage Tips

Magnet friendly: Hollow underside fits magnets for transport cases
Directional marking: Paint rim ends differently for front/back arc
Natural terrain: Rounded ends suit organic basing - rocks, roots, debris
Paint ready: Black surface takes primer, texture paste, PVA directly

⚙️ About 3D Print Seams

Visible seam line may appear on curved surfaces. This is normal for FDM 3D printing - the print layer has to start/end somewhere, creating a vertical line on curves.

Easy fixes: Rotate base so seam is at back • Cover with terrain/texture • Quick sand with 400-grit • Texture paste fills it during normal basing

❓ Common Questions

Q: Are these tournament legal?
A: No - pill bases are non-standard. Not for Warhammer, competitive play. For custom/display use.

Q: Which size for bikes?
A: 28mm scale bikes: 50x25mm or 60x30mm. Larger jetbikes: 70x40mm or 80x50mm.

Q: Can I paint directly on them?
A: Yes - black ABS accepts primer and paint without prep work.

💊 Premium Pill Shape Bases

3D printed ABS with 2mm walls and 5mm height. Non-standard shape for custom projects, vehicles, display models. Select your size from dropdown. Pack sizes: 1, 3, 5, 10, 25, 50 depending on size.

02 OBS FAQs
Can I add magnets underneath OBS bases?

Check the selected option's underside opening and available underside depth in Technical Specifications before choosing magnets. Magnet fit depends on the actual cavity dimensions and the magnet you plan to use, so it should not be assumed to be the same across every base.

How do I choose the right base size?

Start with the base footprint required for your model or game, then confirm the selected option against the Technical Specifications. If you are replacing an existing base, measure it carefully and compare its physical footprint before ordering.

How should I use the technical drawing?

Choose your option first, then use the technical drawing and Technical Specifications to check the physical dimensions of the product. When matching an existing part or accessory, use the drawing rather than relying on the product name alone.

Can I rely on the nominal size alone?

No. Products with similar nominal sizes can have different physical dimensions or fit differently across brands and systems. Check the technical drawing, specifications and any product-specific compatibility note before ordering.
