Product overview
For fantasy, sci-fi and wargame scenery, AK8232 creates vivid green radioactive or contaminated-water casts without requiring a separate colourant. It is a two-part epoxy with a 2:1 mixing ratio, supplied as 120 ml coloured resin and 60 ml hardener. Keep each pour within AK's recommended 5 cm thickness. Around 24 hours is typical, although the resin-layer depth and room temperature both affect how long curing actually takes.
AK describes the resin as low odour
The casting area must be enclosed and free from cracks before the liquid is poured
Box contents include two syringes plus the instruction guide
Mix thoroughly without agitating the material, as any introduced bubbles remain trapped

Notes · Q & A
What is the difference between texture pastes, water effects and resin waters?+
Texture pastes are spreadable acrylic products for building ground, snow and similar surfaces in thin or thick layers. Acrylic water effects are self-levelling liquids, while resin waters are two-part epoxies that require resin and hardener to be mixed at a 2:1 ratio.
How thick a layer can I apply?+
Ground and snow pastes may be applied in thin or thick layers; crackle textures need a thin layer, with its thickness affecting the crack size. Keep Still Water to 1–2 mm per layer and Puddles to no more than 3 mm, building greater depth through repeated layers.
How long do these textures take to dry?+
AK quotes 24 hours for ground textures and resin water, and 2–4 hours for Snow Sprinkles, with drying affected by the amount applied and the ambient temperature. Crackle textures have no stated time, although AK says a hairdryer can speed the process.
Can I thin these products, and what should I use?+
The acrylic textures can be diluted with water or acrylic thinner to improve their flow. Two-part resin waters are not thinned with water; mix the resin and hardener at the stated 2:1 ratio.
Can I paint or add pigments after the texture has dried?+
The suitable method depends on the product. Still Water can be tinted with acrylic paint, while dry corrosion and ground textures can take pigments to adjust their colour and surface variation.
