AK Interactive Neon Colors Set contains six fluorescent and luminous 3rd Generation acrylics for bright neon effects on figures and science-fiction models. The selection covers yellow, magenta, orange, green and blue, allowing contrasting energy, light and glow details to be painted within one palette. AK recommends applying the fluorescent colours over a white surface or primer, because their specialised resin is semi-transparent and preserves their vivid appearance.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
