Cadmium Red is a strong, vibrant dark-red artist oil from Abteilung 502, AK Interactive's modelling-specific oil range. AK positions it as a pure red for both direct use and mixing: applied straight it gives bold red elements, and blended it produces controlled red nuances, shades and combinations of reds. It appears in AK's Naval & Grey Effects set as the colour that adds chromatic richness over otherwise monotonous grey base tones. The reduced-oil ABT 502 formula dries matt with long working time.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
