Product overview
The 25mm square parallel-slotted base is a classic format for tabbed infantry used in rank formations and historical mass-battle systems. Its single central slot runs parallel to the base edge, allowing a miniature with an integral mounting tab to be seated securely and kept square within the unit. The base is injection-moulded from matte black ABS with sharp corners and a fine adhesion texture across the top. This surface supports paint, glue and scenic basing while providing more working area than the smaller square format.

Can I add magnets underneath OBS bases?+
Check the selected option's underside opening and available underside depth in Technical Specifications before choosing magnets. Magnet fit depends on the actual cavity dimensions and the magnet you plan to use, so it should not be assumed to be the same across every base.

Sideways slots

They're fine
Noticeably thinner and lower quality than every other base on the website. Weirdly the diagonal slotta bases are a lot better, maybe these are using an older mould that will get updated to match the rest eventually? It probably wouldn't bother most people and they are a really good price.
I did manage to snap two pushing a model in though in fairness I held the model in one hand and the base in the other so not the most supportive.
I wouldn't buy them again but maybe that's just really picky, if they updated them to be as thick a plastic as the others I'd have zero hesitation.
Hi buddy. We use several suppliers and have a good factory that we work with so the quality is not always the same. Eventually most bases will be upgraded but it is a process.
The 25mm slotted are in the production queue - they will be rebuilt and upgraded to the quality you require later this year (2024).
