AK Interactive Skin and Leather Colors Set contains six matt 3rd Generation acrylic colours for painting skin and leather textures on figures and scale models. The selection combines dark browns, warm orange, earth tones and grey for developing realistic base colours, shadows, highlights and worn material variation. The paints can be mixed for controlled transitions, applied by brush with high coverage and adhesion, or airbrushed when diluted with dedicated thinner.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
