The kit proposed by Tamiya company includes a plastic model kit of British patrol aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Mosquito was a British two-seater multi-tasking aircraft from World War II. Interestingly, the hull of the aircraft was almost entirely made of wood. While this initially seemed to be a hindrance and the plane did not raise interest in the RAF headquarters, the situation had changed radically after its first battle. With its lightweight design, light weight and powerful dual engine Rolls Royce Merlin engines, the Mosquito has a speed of 630 km / h, and it is extremely responsive to a twin engine. In RAF squadrons fulfilled various tasks, from hunting through night hunting to reconnaissance to hunter-bomber roles. In spite of the wooden construction, the Mosquitoes were very robust, which combined with good weapons (4 guns, Hispano-Suiza, and / or 4 KM Browning) and had a great deal of speed.
The Tamiya kit allows you to build the model of the WWII WWF DeHavilland Mosquito FB MK.VI / NF.Mk.II with a crew of two. The aircraft can be finished as a fighter-bomber version and a night fighter. In the box, there are 7 frames with elements of the model, frame with transparent elements of the aircraft and decals (allow reconstruction of aircraft of 143, 487 Squadron or 157 Night Hunting Squadron).
Plastic parts should be cut out of frames, fit together and glued according to the assembly instruction. You should paint the whole model using modeling paints. It is important to remember that some plastic parts require painting before gluing. In the end, it is needed to apply decals according to markings or graphics in instruction.
