Product overview

AK9317 uses replaceable foam tips at 3 mm and 5 mm to control the application or removal of weathering products in confined areas. The angled working ends reach around restricted features and support small-scale clean-up without relying on a loose sponge. They can lift surplus panel-line wash, work selected patches of an effect or help position a decal. Changing between the two tip widths adjusts the contact area to suit the detail.

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?

Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.

What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?

Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.
