A durable synthetic round for miniature work, washes, and general hobby painting.
AK Interactive’s synthetic brush line is aimed squarely at modelling, wargaming, and miniature painting. Product pages describe the round family as versatile, suitable for all types of work, and the broader AK brush range is presented for AFV, aircraft, diorama, figures, and other scale-model uses. That places this series in the practical hobby category: strong enough for repeated use, affordable enough for routine tasks, and flexible enough to cover detail, washes, and general painting. Compared with sable, expect a firmer, more utilitarian feel and easier cleaning. Compared with very cheap synthetics, AK’s positioning suggests better spring and a more usable tip, especially in smaller sizes. This is the kind of brush that belongs in a modeller’s everyday rotation rather than a display case. ak-interactive
What makes this brush special
The feel should be crisp and predictable. A synthetic round like this typically keeps a decent point, responds quickly to hand movement, and releases paint in a controlled way. It is well suited to repeatable hobby tasks because it can take a bit of abuse and still return to shape. The tip is the main asset, but the durability is the reason many modellers keep them around. ak-interactive

How to care for your brush
Clean promptly after use with lukewarm water for acrylics and the appropriate cleaner for enamels or oils. AK’s modelling brushes are meant to handle a wide range of paints, but no synthetic brush should be left with paint drying in the ferrule. Reshape the point and store it where the tip cannot be crushed. Prompt cleaning is especially important when using weathering products or stronger paint systems. ak-interactive
