About This Compressor
The TurboX Mini is a compact desktop airbrush compressor designed for hobby painters, miniature artists, and modellers who need controlled, quiet air delivery without giving up their entire desk to a big tank unit.
It delivers a stable working pressure of 10–20 PSI — the sweet spot for most miniature painting, basecoating, and detail work. The wider rated range is 8–36 PSI with a max of 48 PSI, and 18 adjustable pressure levels give fine control over output. Airflow is rated at 18.0 L/Min.
The reinforced 4mm-thick casing with multi-layer noise-reduction design keeps vibration and noise down. The digital display shows real-time pressure, system temperature, and mode — no guessing, no analog gauge squinting.
A rear-mounted switch toggles between Standard Mode (steady pressure for everyday airbrushing) and Compatibility Mode (regulated low-pressure airflow for fine-detail spraying with smaller nozzles). The power adapter accepts AC 100–240V, so it works worldwide without a converter.
Key Features
Fits on your desk — 5.5 × 3.9 × 2.3 inches, 1.32 lbs. Smaller than a hardback book.
Digital pressure display — real-time readout with switchable PSI and Bar modes. You always know exactly what pressure you're spraying at.
Overheat protection — built-in temperature display and high-temp alarm. Spray longer sessions with confidence.
Quiet for home use — rated below 48 dB under test conditions. Not silent, but closer to a quiet conversation than a power tool.
Simple controls — one rotary dial with 18 adjustable pressure levels plus Low / Medium / High presets. Turn it on, set your pressure, spray.
Dual mode switching — Standard Mode for everyday airbrushing, Compatibility Mode for low-pressure detail spraying. Toggle via a switch on the back. Compatibility Mode smooths airflow to reduce start-stop pressure fluctuations with fine nozzles.
Pressure Guide
8–15 PSI — Fine Detail & Shading
Best for 0.2mm–0.3mm nozzles. Soft gradients, edge highlights, glazes, inks. Low overspray, maximum control. Thin your paint well at these pressures.
15–25 PSI — Basecoats & General Work
The practical middle ground. Good for 0.3mm–0.5mm nozzles. Zenithal priming, basecoats, camo patterns, varnish. Reliable, versatile, predictable.
25–36 PSI — Heavy Coverage
For thicker paints, primers, and larger nozzles. The compressor can reach this range, but it's not where it's most comfortable for extended use. Fine for shorter bursts.

Pro Tips
Start on the Medium preset. For most miniature painting with a 0.3mm–0.5mm nozzle, the Medium setting is a reliable starting point. Fine-tune from there.
Watch the temperature. The display shows system temperature in real time. If it climbs after a long session, give it a few minutes. The overheat alarm will alert you before anything goes wrong.
Lower PSI for fine nozzles. Running a 0.2mm airbrush? Drop to the Low preset or around 10–15 PSI. Fine nozzles benefit from gentler delivery.
Switch to Bar if you prefer. The display toggles between PSI and Bar — handy if your paint instructions or airbrush manual use metric units.
Worth Knowing
Not silent. "Below 48 dB" is quiet — about the level of a calm conversation — but you'll still hear it running. It's a soft mechanical buzz, not a harsh rattle. No compressor is truly silent.
Hobby unit, not a workshop compressor. It excels at hobby bench spraying — miniatures, models, detail work. For continuous professional production or large-format work, a full-size compressor is the better fit.
Airbrush not included. This is the compressor only. Pair it with any standard airbrush using the included hose and quick-disconnect fitting.
