Why This Needle

✦ Restores factory spray pattern — eliminates erratic atomisation from bent or worn needles
✦ Drop-in fit — designed exclusively for the Advanced Series, no modifications needed
✦ Premium polished finish — multiple precision polishing passes reduce friction and extend nozzle life
Product Description
This is the original 0.38mm fluid needle for the Gaahleri GHAD-68 trigger airbrush and CS-36 from the Advanced Series. It's manufactured from polished stainless steel with multiple high-precision grinding passes for exceptional concentricity — meaning the needle sits true inside the nozzle bore, delivering a centred, stable spray pattern.
The 0.38mm diameter is a deliberate design choice by Gaahleri — slightly larger than the typical 0.35mm found in most competitors, giving you a touch more paint flow and forgiveness with thicker media, while still being tight enough for detailed work on miniatures and scale models. It's the "do everything" needle for the Advanced Series platform.
If your original needle has been bent, nicked, or worn, this is a direct replacement that restores factory performance. A bent needle — even one that's been "straightened" — will gradually deform your nozzle and produce inconsistent spray. Fresh needle, fresh start.
This needle is designed exclusively for the Advanced Series (GHAD-68 / CS-36). It is not compatible with Mobius, Ace, Swallowtail, or any other Gaahleri line.

1 × Gaahleri 0.38mm Fluid Needle for Advanced Series in protective packaging.
Compatibility
✔ Fits: Gaahleri GHAD-68 (trigger, Advanced Series) and CS-36
✘ Does NOT fit: Premium Mobius (any variant), Mobius TG, GHAD-39, GHAC-Swallowtail, GHAC-98D, Ace Series, or any non-Advanced airbrush
Pairs with: 0.38mm nozzle for Advanced Series — if your needle was bent, check the nozzle too. A bent needle can deform the nozzle bore over time, causing leaks even with a fresh needle.
Pro Tips
Don't touch the tip. Handle the needle by the shaft only — even fingerprint oils on the tip can affect atomisation at this diameter.
Never pull the needle through a dirty nozzle. Remove the needle from the back before cleaning. Dragging it through dried paint risks bending the tip and scoring the nozzle bore.
Check your nozzle too. If your old needle was bent, it may have worn the nozzle into an oval shape. Replacing both together is the most reliable way to restore a clean pattern.
Don't straighten — replace. Even a micro-bend that looks "fixed" will gradually damage your nozzle and give you inconsistent spray.
Why 0.38mm? Gaahleri chose 0.38mm as a deliberate compromise. Compared to the more common 0.35mm, you get slightly better flow and less clogging with thicker paints, while keeping enough finesse for detailed work. A small difference on paper, but noticeable in practice.
Worth Knowing
This needle is for the Advanced Series only (GHAD-68, CS-36). It does not fit Mobius, Ace, Swallowtail, or any other Gaahleri line — check your model before ordering.
0.38mm is a great all-rounder, but for extreme micro-detail (hairline freehand) a 0.2–0.3mm setup will be more precise. For heavy primers and large surfaces, the 0.5mm needle is faster and more forgiving.
A new needle alone won't fix issues caused by a damaged nozzle, worn packing, or clogged paint channels. Diagnose the actual cause before ordering parts.
Like all precision airbrush needles, the tip is delicate. Dropping the airbrush, cleaning from the front, or storing without a cap are the most common ways to damage it.
Ideal For
✦ Miniature painters — basecoats, preshading, smooth blends, zenithal on 28–54mm figures
✦ Scale modellers — camo, panel shading, weathering on 1/72 to 1/35 kits
✦ All-round hobby airbrushing — the 0.38mm balances detail and coverage for everyday painting
✦ GHAD-68 and CS-36 owners who want a direct, no-compromise OEM replacement
