Product overview

Vallejo Foam and Snow is a heavy, extra-opaque white acrylic formulated for simulating foam crests on waves, breaking surf and fresh snow on miniature terrain. Apply directly from the pot with a brush or sponge, sculpt raised wave crests with a palette knife, or dry-brush over tinted Vallejo Water Texture gels for whirls and wakes on the surface. It dries quickly to a hard, white finish that holds its shape without cracking, and can be layered for deeper snow build-up.

Simulates sea foam, spray and freshly fallen snow
Sculpt with a palette knife for raised wave crests
Dry-brush over Water Texture gels for surface detail
Non-flammable and solvent-free

Notes · Q & A

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
