Vallejo Black Thick Mud 73.812 is a dense, water-based acrylic texture for building substantial mud deposits on vehicle surfaces and terrain. Its very dark colour represents peat-like earth rich in vegetal material, particularly ground found in humid woodland and northern European settings. The paste contains permanent pigments and comes in a 40 ml pot. Unlike the faster-drying effects in the range, Thick Mud requires an extended period to dry completely.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
