Scale75 ScaleColor Artist Shades of Grey SSAR-003 combines black and white with four tinted neutrals for controlling temperature as well as value. Buff and Pearl Grey provide lighter neutral options, while Violet Grey and Green Grey introduce different colour biases without leaving the grey palette. The six thick, creamy acrylics are supplied in 20 ml metal tubes for controlled brush blending and are also suitable for airbrush application.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
