Scale75 ScaleColor Artist Basic Colors SSAR-001 is a six-tube foundation palette for miniature painting and colour mixing. It combines the three primary colours with white, black and Burnt Sienna, providing the starting points for mixing additional hues, values and earth tones. The thick, creamy acrylics come in 20 ml metal tubes and support controlled brushwork and smooth blending. They are also suitable for airbrush application.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
