A fully synthetic acrylic set with a practical spread of rounds, flats, filberts, and a rigger for versatile paint handling.
This set is designed for acrylic painters who want a balanced, vegan-friendly brush kit with enough variety to cover most studio tasks. The Shiraz 301 pointed rounds form the core for detail and drawing, while the filbert, long flat, short flats, and rigger extend the set into blocking, shaping, edging, and line work. That mix makes it suitable for both beginners and more experienced painters who want one cohesive synthetic range for acrylic and mixed media.
The set’s value lies in how it supports the full acrylic workflow. Rounds are useful for sketching and small marks, flats for broad application and edges, filberts for blending and soft form transitions, and the rigger for fine lines and accents. Because all brushes come from the same synthetic family, the feel stays consistent as you move between shapes. Compared with buying the brushes individually, the set is a practical way to establish a reliable studio kit without unnecessary duplication.
What makes this brush special
The Shiraz line should feel springy, clean, and durable, with enough snap to handle acrylic paint well. The brushes are likely to be comfortable in the hand, with short handles suited to close-up work and easel painting alike. As a whole, the set should feel dependable and modern, with the emphasis on repeatable control and easy maintenance. It is a strong everyday set for painters who use their brushes hard and often.

How we measure a brushA visual guide to the measurements shown in the size chart above.
These are the same measurements shown in the size chart above. Brush sizes are not standardised across brands, so use these dimensions when comparing brushes within a series or between manufacturers.
Tuft Length
The visible length of the brush hairs, measured from the ferrule to the tip.
Belly Diameter
The widest point of the brush head. On round brushes, this is the widest part of the belly.
Total Length
The full measurement from the tip of the brush to the end of the handle.
How to care for your brush
Because these are synthetic brushes, care is simple and forgiving. Acrylic should be rinsed out promptly before it cures, and warmer water is acceptable as long as it is not hot. Clean the brushes with soap if needed, reshape the points and flats, and let them dry fully before storage. Avoid letting paint sit deep in the ferrule, since that is what shortens brush life fastest. Store them in a brush roll, case, or upright holder with the tips protected so the pointed rounds and rigger stay sharp.
