A starting box for Kaleido's RapidAir paint: twelve shades from the Primary series in 20ml bottles, with a 20ml thinner and a 20ml airbrush cleaner packed alongside them. The paint is a water-based acrylic that comes already thinned for the airbrush, so it sprays straight from the bottle through any needle from 0.3mm upward once the compressor gives it 10 PSI. Gaahleri says the RapidAir formula lays down as a smooth sheet without beading or sagging, grips ABS, resin, metal, glass and fabric without primer, and dries to a gloss close to solvent paint.
12 colours plus thinner and cleaner, 14 bottles of 20ml
Pre-thinned acrylic for 0.3mm+ airbrushes
Thin further for 0.2mm needles, no more than 2 parts thinner to 10 paint
Touch dry in 15–20 minutes, full hardness after 72 hours
REACH, CLP and ASTM D4236, VOC under 100g/L

Notes · Q & A
What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?+
0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.
Do I need a compressor with a tank?+
A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.
How do I keep an airbrush working well?+
Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
