Product overview

This N5 fluid nozzle belongs to the Iwata Neo TRN2, the side-feed, dual-action trigger airbrush, whose N5 head is 0.5mm. It comes as the threaded nozzle alone: on the TRN2 the o-ring that seals the front end is part of the nozzle cap assembly and is sold as its own spare. A well-cleaned airbrush rarely needs a new nozzle, so remove this one only when it is damaged and thread the replacement in gently. The gravity-feed TRN1 ships with a smaller head and can use this nozzle only in a complete 0.5mm conversion, alongside the N5 head base, N5 needle and N5 nozzle cap.

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?

0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.

Do I need a compressor with a tank?

A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.

How do I keep an airbrush working well?

Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
