Product overview

This is the genuine Iwata replacement for the E3 fluid nozzle, the 0.35mm nozzle at the front of the Eclipse airbrushes that run the E3 head. It comes in Iwata's own blister and is made in Japan. Eclipse nozzles are compression-fit, a design that makes them easy to clean and to put back together, and that is how this one goes in. The E3 head is three matched parts, needle, nozzle and nozzle cap, so keep the replacement within that set rather than mixing in a nozzle from another head.

What nozzle size do I need for miniatures?

0.3mm is the versatile all-rounder for base coats and priming; 0.2mm suits fine detail work. Larger nozzles (0.5mm) are for terrain and big surfaces.

Do I need a compressor with a tank?

A tank smooths the airflow and reduces pulsing, giving more consistent results — worth it if you spray regularly, but tankless compressors work fine for occasional use.

How do I keep an airbrush working well?

Flush with airbrush cleaner between colours and strip-clean after each session. Most spraying problems are cleaning problems.
