Green Stuff World Liquid Frost is a special-effect medium based on acrylic resin and a saline solution. As the product dries, the salts crystallise into realistic frost formations that cling to trees, bushes, crystals and frozen terrain on your miniatures. Apply in multiple layers and leave each to dry for 4 to 24 hours — subsequent applications can reactivate the crystallisation and grow the frost further. Results vary with humidity, temperature and surface texture, so test on a spare piece first.
Real salt crystals form a frost-like coating as the medium dries
Apply by brush or airbrush — airbrush layers must not be too thin
Seal porous surfaces (wood, cork, MDF) before applying
Do not varnish or paint over cured frost — it may dissolve the crystals

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
