🔪 Green Stuff World – Balsa Stripper
Precision Strip Cutter · 1–25 mm Width · Up to 6 mm Thick · Left & Right Hand
📐 What It Does
A hand tool that cuts precise, repeatable strips from balsa wood and other soft materials. Set the width once, lock it, and cut as many identical strips as you need — no ruler, no marking, no guesswork.
Width range: 1 mm to 25 mm · Max thickness: 6 mm · Guide rail: ~15 cm
✂️ What You Can Cut
✅ Balsa wood — sheets and strips (primary use)
✅ Foamed PVC · ✅ Cork sheet · ✅ Soft plastics & craft foam
❌ Not for: hardwood, thick plywood, metal, or rigid dense materials. Soft materials only, max 6 mm thick.
🛠️ How to Use
1. Loosen the lock, slide the blade to your width using the mm/inch scale, tighten.
2. Check blade depth — it should just touch your cutting mat.
3. Lay material flat on a cutting mat. Press the long edge against the guide rail.
4. Pull towards you in one smooth motion.
5. Repeat for identical strips — no re-adjusting needed.
💡 Works for both right and left-handed users — two blade mount positions.

⚠️ Good to Know Before You Buy
🔸 Soft materials only. Won't cut hardwood, thick plywood, or rigid plastic. Max 6 mm thick.
🔸 Use a cutting mat. The blade needs to pass through the material. Hard surfaces dull it fast.
🔸 Replace blades regularly. Dull blades tear balsa instead of cutting clean. #11 blades are cheap and widely available.
🔸 Very thin strips (1–2 mm) need a steady hand and sharp blade.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Can I cut styrene or plasticard with this?
It's designed for soft materials — balsa, cork, foam PVC. Very thin soft plastics may work, but rigid styrene or plasticard isn't its intended use.
Is it suitable for left-handed users?
Yes — the blade holder has two mount positions, one for each hand orientation.
What replacement blades do I need?
Standard #11 hobby blades — the same ones used in most hobby knives. Widely available and inexpensive.
Do I need a cutting mat?
Yes — the blade should pass through the material and contact the mat for clean, complete cuts. Without a mat, you'll damage your table and dull the blade quickly.
