MP-02 is a pack of 50 water guiding sheets for DSPIAE's MP-01 wet palette. The guiding paper is the middle layer: it lies on the wet sponge and passes water up to the palette paper above, which is what keeps the paint workable. Lay it flat with no air bubbles and let it soak through before the palette paper goes on top. The MP-01 comes with three sheets; this pack replaces them.

  • 50 sheets for the DSPIAE MP-01
  • Middle layer, between the sponge and the palette paper
  • Top sheet: MP-03, or the infiltrating MP-05
  • Purified water only, to keep mildew away

Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?

Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.

What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?

Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.

How do I keep tools in good condition?

Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
