Product overview

The AT-AC is DSPIAE's angle cutting jig for plastic strip and sheet. A turntable in the 158 × 158 mm working area sets the cutting angle anywhere through 180°: turn the guiding block until its pointer sits on the angle you want and lock it with the left knob. The right knob sets the distance between the two guiding blocks, which fixes the cutting length anywhere from 3–49 mm. Once both are set, every piece comes off the same, with no ruler or square needed. The turntable runs on stainless steel roller balls, and the blade is stainless steel, machined in Germany.

  • 180° stepless angle adjustment with an engraved scale
  • Cutting length 3–49 mm between two guiding blocks
  • 158 × 158 mm working area
  • Stainless steel blade for plastic parts; never cut metal with it
  • Wavy handle; its damping is adjusted at the pivot bolt

Notes · Q & A

What is an angle cutting station for?

It cuts plastic strip, sheet and rod to a set angle and length, again and again. With the angle guide and length stop locked, every piece comes out the same, which is what brick courses, armour plates, frames and other repeated parts need.

What materials can I cut with it?

Styrene sheet, strip and rod and similar soft plastics, within the thickness the maker gives for your model. Do not cut metal, brass or stock thicker than the stated limit: it can chip or break the blade. The product description lists the limits.

How do I get repeatable lengths?

Set the length stop, make one test cut and measure it with calipers before cutting the batch, because printed scales can read slightly off the real cut. Push each piece firmly against the stop and the angle guide before the blade comes down.

When should I replace the blade?

When cuts start to crush or whiten the plastic, leave a burr or need extra force. A dull blade pushes the stock out of line, so accuracy goes first. Change it with the arm held down and keep your fingers clear of the edge.
