AK Interactive Real Colors WWII RAF Aircraft Colors contains eight lacquer paints for modellers working on British aircraft from across the Second World War. The selection brings together the principal RAF exterior camouflage colours used in European and desert schemes, plus the standard cockpit interior colour. It provides one reference palette for fighters, bombers and other RAF aircraft without treating the set as a single fixed camouflage scheme.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
