AK Interactive Real Colors WWII Luftwaffe Mid-War Colors contains eight lacquer paints covering German aircraft schemes used from the early war into late 1944. The selection supports RLM 02/71/65 and RLM 74/75/76 camouflage, including colours used on day, heavy and night fighters, bombers and reconnaissance aircraft. RLM 02 and RLM 66 cover cockpit and interior work, while RLM 70 was used for propeller blades. The paints are formulated for airbrush use.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
