AK Interactive Real Colors NATO AFV Colors contains three lacquer paints for the standard camouflage applied to military vehicles and equipment used by many NATO member states from the second half of the 1980s onwards. NATO Green, NATO Brown and NATO Black provide the complete three-colour scheme in one set. It is intended for modern Western tanks, armoured vehicles, utility vehicles and related military equipment carrying this widely adopted camouflage pattern.

  • Set contains (3 × 17 ml): RC886 NATO Green, RC887 NATO Brown, RC888 NATO Black
  • Lacquer-based Real Colors with a soft matt finish, ready for weathering
  • The complete standard three-colour NATO vehicle camouflage in one set
  • Formulated for airbrush application; thin with RC701 or RC702 (or another lacquer-based thinner)

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
