Luftwaffe Fighter Colors 1941-1944 is the day-fighter box of AK's Luftwaffe range, and the count is three plus one: RLM 74, 75 and 76 were officially specified as the basic camouflage colours for Luftwaffe day fighters in late 1941, while the fourth bottle, RLM 04, is a markings colour, commonly used for the quick recognition markings applied throughout the entire war. AK notes that RLM 74 was officially withdrawn in mid-1944, but in fact all these colours remained in use until the end of the war, and that they were also extensively used on German night fighters. This box shares RLM 74 and RLM 75 with AK11717 Mid-War, but carries RLM 76 Version 1 where that box carries Version 2.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
