Applied over selected painted areas, AK894 Intermediate Gauzy Agent Shine Enhancer adds shine while protecting the colour beneath. This self-levelling acrylic auxiliary comes in a 100 ml bottle and can be laid down by brush or airbrush. It is particularly suited to Xtreme Metal finishes, preserving their existing shine while forming a resistant layer for subsequent oil work and other weathering stages.

The coating is ready for further work after 5–10 minutes.
AK’s general airbrush setting uses a 0.2 mm nozzle at 1.5 kg pressure.
Brush application is also supported.
Oils can be worked over the dry protective layer.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
