Abteilung 502 Light Grey is an artist oil for illuminating darker colours and developing lighter areas within grey paint schemes. AK Interactive recommends combining it with other grey tones on figures and vehicles, using it in winter scenes and applying it to Panzer Grey finishes. The colour is also positioned for highlighting warships and modern military aircraft. Its combination of white and blue pigments produces a cool light grey rather than a neutral white mixing colour.

Notes · Q & A
What's the difference between a paint and a wash?+
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?+
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?+
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
