Red 2 mm tufts let a modeller introduce vegetation that reads as part of an invented environment rather than familiar grassland. They could be grouped around a hostile creature, worked into corrupted fantasy ground, or used as small colour echoes beside red markings on a figure. Keeping the red in selected areas gives the base a deliberate visual rhythm while leaving room for painted earth, stone or other scenic materials.

What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?

That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.

Are tufts self-adhesive?

Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.

How do I apply static grass?

Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
