Azure 2 mm tufts give AK8268 a deliberately non-natural colour for vegetation on fantasy scenery and miniature bases. The blue tone can support an otherworldly landscape, echo a cool palette used on a figure, or introduce a recurring accent across otherwise painted ground. Planned in clusters rather than spread everywhere, the tufts can help guide attention through a small scene without requiring the whole base to share the colour.
The pieces are supplied on a sheet for removal one at a time
AK specifies tweezers for setting each tuft in its chosen position
Direct attachment is permitted; adding a little PVA to the reverse strengthens the joint

Notes · Q & A
What do tuft sizes like 2mm, 4mm and 6mm mean?+
That's the grass fibre length. 2mm suits small bases and subtle ground cover, 4–6mm reads as fuller vegetation on 28–32mm miniature bases.
Are tufts self-adhesive?+
Most modern tufts peel off their sheet with adhesive on the underside — press onto the base, no glue needed. Loose static grass is applied over PVA instead.
How do I apply static grass?+
Brush PVA where you want grass, sprinkle or use an applicator, then tip off the excess once dry. An applicator makes fibres stand upright for a more natural look.
