📏 75mm fills the gap between 60mm and 80mm - ideal for larger characters, small monsters, and centrepiece models that need room to breathe without going full monster-base territory.
🔓 Open Basing System (OBS)
Most systems jump from 60mm to 80mm+. We made 75mm because hobbyists asked for it - the "in-between" size that corporations ignore. Your models, your choice.
🎨 Perfect For
💡 When 60mm feels tight but 80mm+ looks excessive. Room for scenic basing without overwhelming smaller models.
🧪 Why PETG?
Impact resistant
Won't warp
Primer & paint
CA & plastic cement
⚠️ About FDM Printing
Seams: FDM prints have a visible "Z-seam" - a thin vertical line on the base edge. This is not a defect, it's normal.
Layer lines: Subtle horizontal lines may be visible. These largely disappear after priming.
💡 For glass-smooth display pieces, resin might suit you better. For gaming, these work brilliantly.
🛠️ Prep Tips
- Wash with soap & water before priming
- Prime with Vallejo, Army Painter, or Citadel spray
- Sand with 400-600 grit if ultra-smooth needed
- Pin heavier metal/resin models - PETG drills cleanly
❓ FAQ
Is 75mm a standard size in any game system?
Not really - most systems jump from 60mm to 80mm+. That's exactly why we made it. OBS fills the gaps corporations ignore.
How does 75mm compare to other sizes?
About 25% larger than 60mm (or GW's 63mm), noticeably smaller than 80mm+. Good middle ground for models that outgrew 60mm.
Do I need to prime them?
Highly recommended. Acrylic paint on unprimed PETG can scratch off.
