Aves Apoxie Sculpt 113g (¼lb) Natural — Two-Part Epoxy Modelling Compound
About This Product
Aves Apoxie Sculpt is a two-part epoxy compound made by Aves Studio in the USA. Mix equal parts of Part A and Part B together, and you get a smooth, clay-like putty that you can sculpt, shape, texture, and tool for 1–3 hours before it begins to set. After 24 hours it cures into a rock-hard, permanent material with a semi-gloss finish.
It works like modelling clay but bonds like an epoxy — meaning it sticks permanently to most surfaces without needing primer or separate adhesive. Once cured, it can be sanded, drilled, carved, tapped, filed, and painted just like any rigid material.
This is the 113 g (¼ lb) tub set in Natural — an off-white / cream / light grey tone. Each set contains one small tub of Part A and one small tub of Part B. Natural is the most popular all-purpose colour in the Apoxie Sculpt range, and many hobbyists find it the most comfortable to work with — less frustrating stickiness than some white variants and a neutral tone that shows sculpted detail clearly.
Starter Size — Try Before You Commit
This is the 113 g (¼ lb) tub set — a compact format that gives you enough material to test Apoxie Sculpt on a few projects before committing to the full 454 g (1 lb) or 1.81 kg (4 lb) packs.
Perfect for first-time buyers, small repair jobs, detail work, miniature basing touch-ups, or anyone who only needs a small amount for a specific project. Same formula, same quality — just a smaller quantity.

How to Use — Quick Guide
Mix — take equal amounts of Part A and Part B. Knead together thoroughly until the colour is completely uniform with no streaks.
Sculpt — shape, texture, and detail your piece. You have 1–3 hours of working time. The 1-hour mark is often the sweet spot for fine detail.
Smooth — use water on your fingers or tools to smooth surfaces before cure. Cold water helps reduce sticking.
Cure — leave for 24 hours at room temperature. No oven, no UV, no heat needed.
Finish — once cured, sand, drill, carve, or paint as needed. Accepts all hobby paints and primers.
Tips from the Hobby Community
▸ Use cold water to reduce sticking and help hold fine detail while sculpting.
▸ Wear nitrile gloves — epoxy compounds are best handled with gloves. Aves recommends this in their own instructions.
▸ Natural is the easiest colour to start with — hobbyists often report it feels less sticky than white variants, making it a great choice if this is your first time with Apoxie Sculpt.
▸ Wait for the 1-hour mark if you want to add fine details — the material firms up slightly and holds sharper impressions.
▸ The ¼ lb size is ideal for testing — this pack gives you enough to try the material across a few sessions before deciding on a larger quantity.
▸ Clean tools with soap and water before the compound sets. Aves Finishing Solution handles stubborn residue.
▸ Store sealed and cool — old stock can develop a surface film. Keep lids tight for maximum shelf life.
How Does It Compare?
vs. Green Stuff (Kneadatite)
Apoxie Sculpt gives a much longer working time (1–3 hours vs. ~30 min), smooths more easily with water, and cures rock-hard. Green Stuff stays slightly flexible — better for armour straps, cloaks, organic shapes. Rigid and sandable? Apoxie. Elastic and tough? Green Stuff.
vs. Milliput
Both cure hard and can be sanded. Milliput has a shorter working time and grittier texture. Apoxie Sculpt feels smoother and blends more easily. Milliput is cheaper per gram. Ultra-smooth sculpting? Apoxie. Quick affordable filling? Milliput.
vs. Aves Apoxie Clay
Clay has a more traditional clay-like feel — grainier and less tacky. Apoxie Sculpt is putty-like and holds shape better. Choose based on which working texture you prefer.
Good to Know
⚠ It cures rigid. If you need a flexible end result (cloaks, straps, thin parts that flex), Green Stuff or a flexible putty is a better choice.
⚠ The working time is a strength — and a commitment. Once mixed, Parts A and B will set in 24 hours whether you've finished or not.
⚠ Wear gloves. Non-toxic when cured and non-flammable, but skin contact during mixing should be avoided.
⚠ Texture changes during cure. Feels different at 10, 30, and 60 minutes. Normal — many sculptors prefer the firmer stage.
