About This Product

Super White Apoxie is a two-part epoxy compound made by Aves Studio in the USA. It belongs to the same family as Apoxie Sculpt but is formulated specifically to deliver a crisp, bright white with a fine-grain, firm working consistency. Mix equal parts of Part A and Part B, and you get a smooth putty that you can sculpt, shape, and tool for 1–3 hours before it begins to set. After 24 hours it cures rock-hard with a smooth semi-gloss finish.

Like all Aves epoxy compounds, it bonds permanently to most surfaces without primer or separate adhesive. Once cured, it can be sanded, drilled, carved, tapped, filed, and painted. It also accepts stains and mica powders for decorative effects.

This is the 113 g (¼ lb) tub set. Each set contains one small tub of Part A and one small tub of Part B.

Starter Size — Try Before You Commit

This is the 113 g (¼ lb) tub set — a compact format that gives you enough material to test Super White Apoxie on a few projects before committing to the full 454 g (1 lb) pack.

Perfect for first-time buyers, small detail work, fine sculpting, or anyone who wants to compare Super White against standard Apoxie Sculpt colours before buying in bulk. Same formula, same quality — just a smaller quantity.

Super White vs. Apoxie Sculpt — What's the Difference?

Super White Apoxie — a crisp, bright white with a firmer, fine-grain feel. Designed for work where a vivid white base matters: fine sculpture, detail visibility, painting over light tones, or projects where the cured colour is part of the finish.

Apoxie Sculpt (White / Stone White) — a softer, muted white. General-purpose sculpting putty with 12 colour options. If you want "white-ish" but don't need bright white, standard Apoxie Sculpt costs less and does the job.

Apoxie Clay — a more clay-like, grainier feel with less tack. Better if you prefer a traditional clay working experience over a putty-like one. Super White Apoxie follows the Sculpt-style putty behaviour, not the Clay feel.

Why Choose Super White?

True bright white — not off-white, not cream, not stone. A crisp white base that shows every sculpted detail with maximum clarity.

Perfect painting base — light and bright colours go on true over a white surface. No need for heavy white primer coats before painting.

Fine-grain, firm consistency — slightly firmer than standard Apoxie Sculpt, which some sculptors prefer for crisp edges and sharp detail work.

Decorative finishes — the bright white base is ideal for mica powders, stains, and tinted finishes that need a clean, neutral starting tone.

Architectural and display work — columns, statuary, porcelain-style pieces, and display models where the white finish is the end goal or close to it.

How to Use — Quick Guide

1

Mix — take equal amounts of Part A and Part B. Knead together thoroughly until the colour is completely uniform with no streaks.

2

Sculpt — shape, texture, and detail your piece. Super White has a slightly firmer feel than standard Apoxie Sculpt, which some sculptors find better for crisp edges.

3

Smooth — use water on your fingers or tools to smooth surfaces before cure. Cold water helps reduce sticking.

4

Cure — leave for 24 hours at room temperature. No oven, no UV, no heat needed.

5

Finish — once cured, sand, drill, carve, or paint as needed. Accepts all hobby paints, primers, stains, and mica powders.

Tips from the Hobby Community

Use cold water to reduce sticking and help hold fine detail while sculpting.

Wear nitrile gloves — epoxy compounds are best handled with gloves. Aves recommends this in their own instructions.

Expect a firmer feel — Super White is slightly firmer than standard Apoxie Sculpt. If you're used to the softer Sculpt consistency, give it a few minutes of kneading to warm up.

Wait for the 1-hour mark if you want to add fine details — the material firms up slightly and holds sharper impressions.

The ¼ lb size is ideal for comparison — try Super White alongside standard Apoxie Sculpt to see which consistency and colour you prefer before buying larger packs.

Clean tools with soap and water before the compound sets. Aves Finishing Solution handles stubborn residue.

Store sealed and cool — old stock can develop a surface film. Keep lids tight for maximum shelf life.

How Does It Compare?

vs. Apoxie Sculpt (White / Stone White)

Standard white is a muted, ceramic-style white — good enough for most work but not bright. Super White is a crisp, vivid white with a slightly firmer, fine-grain feel. Choose Super White when the white colour matters; choose standard white when you just want a light general-purpose putty.

vs. Milliput Superfine White

Both are white, both cure hard and sandable. Milliput Superfine has a grittier texture and shorter working time. Super White Apoxie is smoother, more adhesive, and gives you more time to work. Milliput is usually cheaper per gram.

vs. Green Stuff (Kneadatite)

Apoxie cures rigid; Green Stuff stays slightly flexible. Green Stuff has a much shorter working window (~30 min). Different tools for different tasks.

vs. Apoxie Clay

Clay has a more traditional clay-like feel — grainier and less tacky. Super White Apoxie is putty-like and holds shape better. Choose based on which working texture you prefer.

Good to Know

It cures rigid. If you need a flexible end result (cloaks, straps, thin parts that flex), Green Stuff or a flexible putty is a better choice.

Firmer than standard Apoxie Sculpt. If you're used to the softer Sculpt consistency, Super White may feel different. It's intentional — the firmer texture helps with fine detail. Give it time to warm up during kneading.

The working time is a strength — and a commitment. Once mixed, Parts A and B will set in 24 hours whether you've finished or not.

Texture changes during cure. Feels different at 10, 30, and 60 minutes. Normal — many sculptors prefer the firmer stage.
