Gaahleri 0.5mm Replacement Needle for Mobius Airbrush — 43042
Gaahleri Premium Series
Genuine replacement 0.5mm needle for the Gaahleri Mobius Airbrush. Multi-stage polished stainless steel with high concentricity, purpose-built for the Mobius's high-flow coverage configuration. Drop-in fit across all Mobius variants.
Why Keep a Spare?
A bent needle means a dead session. Having a spare on the shelf means you're back spraying in seconds, not waiting days for a replacement. The 0.5mm is the Mobius's high-flow configuration — the setup owners describe as the one for "laying down a LOT of paint" — so it sees heavy use on priming, basecoating, and large-surface work.
This is the genuine Gaahleri needle, manufactured with multi-stage grinding and polishing for high concentricity with the matching Mobius nozzle. In practice, that means a more even spray cone, more predictable atomisation, and less splatter than generic replacement needles.
The 0.5mm Configuration — High-Flow Coverage
The 0.5mm setup on the Mobius is the high-flow coverage configuration — what you reach for when you need to lay down smooth basecoats across an army, prime batches of vehicles, spray clear coats, and cover large terrain pieces efficiently.
It handles thinned acrylics, primers, and varnishes comfortably at moderate pressures. The natural pairing for vehicles, terrain, dioramas, and scale models at 1/35, 1/32, and 1/24 where coverage speed and uniformity matter most.

What's in the Box
1× Gaahleri 0.5mm Needle for Mobius Airbrush in protective case.
Compatibility
Compatible with: All Gaahleri Mobius airbrush variants within the Premium Series — including SP and TG configurations. Parts are interchangeable within the Mobius family.
Not compatible with: Gaahleri Advanced Series models (Seeker, GHAD-39, GHAD-68) or any third-party airbrushes — even if the needle diameter matches, the geometry is different. Do not mix parts between Mobius and Advanced Series.
Best Used For
Basecoating armies — smooth, even coverage on squads of infantry, monsters, and vehicles (28–32mm scale).
Priming & varnishing — efficient application of primers and clear coats with properly thinned products.
Broad transitions & fades — zenithal highlights, armour panel gradients, cloak blends on larger surfaces.
Scale models — bodywork, hulls, and large panels at 1/35, 1/32, and 1/24 scales.
Terrain & dioramas — fast, even paint delivery across large surface areas.
Pro Tips
Insert gently, always — slide the needle forward slowly until it seats. Forcing it risks bending the tip or damaging the nozzle. If it doesn't glide in smoothly, back off and check alignment.
Mobius parts stay in the Mobius family. Users in the Gaahleri community confirm that parts are interchangeable between Mobius variants (SP, 0.3, 0.5, TG) but NOT with the Advanced Series. Stick to Mobius-specific parts.
Thin your paints properly — even the best 0.5mm needle won't perform well with thick acrylics. Aim for milk-like consistency for smooth atomisation.
Clean after every session — flush with airbrush cleaner, wipe the needle gently towards the tip with a soft cloth. Never wipe backwards — it pushes dried paint into the nozzle seat.
Worth Knowing
Mobius only — this needle fits the Gaahleri Premium Series Mobius exclusively. It will not work in the Seeker, GHAD-39, GHAD-68, or any third-party airbrush.
0.5mm is not for fine detail — if you need ultra-thin lines, pupils, or micro freehand work, the 0.3mm or smaller configuration is what you want. The 0.5mm excels at coverage and broader work.
All precision needles are fragile — a sub-millimetre polished steel tip can bend from a drop or careless handling. This isn't a product flaw; it's physics. Handle with care.
If you only paint small miniatures and rarely do large surfaces, you may get more use from staying on the 0.3mm setup instead.
