AK Interactive Steel Ruler 300mm AK9547
A compact 150 mm (6 inch) stainless steel ruler built for the modelling workbench. Precise metric graduations on the front for accurate measurement and straight-edge cutting guidance, plus a full conversion reference table engraved on the reverse — inch-to-mm conversions, fractional inches, tap drill sizes, and W.W./UNF thread references.
At 150 mm, it's deliberately compact — long enough for every measurement you'll encounter on a hobby desk (base widths, panel lines, styrene strips, masking tape runs), short enough to handle comfortably in one hand and tuck into a carry case for tournament days.
🔩 Stainless Steel, Not Aluminium — Won't nick, dent, or bend from repeated knife contact. The steel edge stays true even after hundreds of cuts, unlike aluminium rulers that develop grooves over time.
📐 Clear Metric Markings — Precise millimetre graduations etched into the steel. Easy to read under hobby lamps and magnification.
🔄 Conversion Table on the Back — Flip it over for an engraved reference chart: inch-to-mm conversions (whole, halves, quarters, eighths, sixteenths, thirty-seconds), metric tap drill sizes (M1–M5.5), and W.W./UNF thread data. No more hunting for conversion charts online.
✂️ Cutting Straight Edge — The steel edge guides a hobby knife cleanly. Cut styrene, plasticard, masking tape, card, and paper with a consistent, dead-straight line every time.
🎒 Compact & Portable — Fits easily into a hobby carry case, tool roll, or tournament bag.
🛡️ Corrosion Resistant — Stainless steel won't rust or tarnish, even surrounded by water pots, washes, and paint bottles.
Most modelling rulers give you one scale and nothing else. The AK9546 has an entire reference library engraved on the back:
| Inch → mm Conversion | Full inches (1–6), halves, quarters, eighths, sixteenths, and thirty-seconds — all with precise mm equivalents to 5 decimal places. |
| Tap Drill Chart | Metric tap drill sizes from M1 through M27 — the correct drill diameter for each thread size. Invaluable for pinning work, magnetising, and scratch building. |
| W.W. & UNF Thread Sizes | Whitworth and UNF (Unified National Fine) thread drill sizes for working with imperial-spec brass rod, screws, and hardware. |
| Measuring Base Sizes | Quick-check diameters and widths — 25 mm, 32 mm, 40 mm. Especially useful when verifying 3D-printed or third-party base compatibility. |
| Cutting Plasticard | Lay the steel edge along your cut line and run a hobby knife against it. The ruler won't shift and the knife won't nick the edge. |
| Masking Straight Lines | Guide masking tape or cut clean edges on camo patterns, panel lines, and vehicle markings. |
| Pin Drill Reference | Flip to the tap drill chart on the back to find the correct drill size for pinning miniatures, magnetising joints, and scratch-building with threaded rod. |
| Tournament Pocket Tool | 150 mm fits in your mini case for quick measurements during play — coherency checks, deployment distances, base verification. |

⚠ 150 mm only. If you regularly cut longer pieces of plasticard or need to measure full vehicle hulls, the 300 mm version (AK9547) is the better fit — or get both.
⚠ Front is metric, reverse is reference charts. The measuring scale on the front is millimetres only. The inch conversions and drill data are on the back as a reference table, not a measuring scale.
