Product Description
This is the original 0.2mm fluid needle for the Gaahleri Premium Mobius (GHPM-Mobius series). It's the finest needle in the Mobius range — manufactured from polished stainless steel with multiple high-precision grinding passes for the highest level of concentricity with the matching 0.2mm nozzle.
At 0.2mm, this needle is purpose-built for fine detail work: micro-highlights, hairline freehand, tight preshading, and precision effects where a 0.3mm needle starts to feel too broad. The Mobius 0.2mm system is designed for low-pressure atomisation, giving you a tight, controlled spray pattern with minimal overspray — ideal for work on individual miniatures, small-scale panel lines, and delicate weathering effects.
If your original needle has been bent, nicked, or worn, this is a direct replacement that restores factory performance. At 0.2mm, even the slightest bend or imperfection at the tip will visibly affect your spray pattern — this is the needle size where "close enough" doesn't cut it.
Important: This needle is compatible with the Premium Series Mobius only. It will not fit the Mobius TG, Mobius SP, or any other Gaahleri airbrush.

Pro Tips — Working with 0.2mm
Insert the needle from the front. Gaahleri's own Mobius 0.2 manual recommends front insertion to avoid damaging the nozzle bore and the needle tip — the opposite of what you might do with larger needles.
Thin your paint properly. 0.2mm is far less forgiving than 0.3mm. Under-thinned paint will clog quickly and create tip-dry. Think milk consistency or thinner — and strain if needed.
Keep everything spotless. At this diameter, tiny dried paint particles that a 0.3mm needle would push through will block a 0.2mm bore. Regular flush cycles between colours are essential.
Don't touch the tip. At all. A 0.2mm tip is extremely delicate — fingerprints, contact with tools, or bumping against the model can cause micro-damage that's invisible to the eye but ruins your pattern.
Replace needle and nozzle together. At 0.2mm, the tolerances are tighter than at larger sizes. A bent needle deforms the nozzle faster, and a worn nozzle degrades a new needle faster. Always consider both when troubleshooting.
Worth Knowing
This needle fits the Premium Mobius only. It does not fit the Mobius TG, Mobius SP, or any other Gaahleri model — this is clearly stated by the manufacturer.
0.2mm is a specialist diameter. It requires well-thinned paint, meticulous cleaning, and careful handling. If you're new to airbrushing, the 0.3mm needle is a more forgiving starting point.
The tip is extremely delicate — more so than 0.3mm or 0.5mm needles. Expect to treat it with extra care during handling, cleaning, and storage.
A new needle alone won't fix issues caused by a damaged nozzle, worn packing, or clogged paint channels. At 0.2mm, even minor problems elsewhere in the system show up in the spray pattern.
Ideal For
✦ Micro-detail work — edge highlights, hairline freehand, tiny weathering effects
✦ Miniature painters working at 28–54mm who need the tightest possible spray
✦ Scale modellers — ultra-fine panel preshading, tight camo lines in 1/72–1/48
✦ Experienced airbrush users who already have their thinning, cleaning, and technique dialled in
