Product overview

A full-spectrum starter palette for scale modelling: primaries, earth tones, flesh, black and white, plus Gold and Silver metallics for buckles, insignia and bare metal details. The sixteen bottles cover enough ground for US military subjects, civilian vehicles and fantasy figures without needing a second purchase. Vallejo's eyedropper cap dispenses a controlled drop onto a wet palette or directly into an airbrush cup.

Notes · Q & A

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?

Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.

Can I use these paints in an airbrush?

Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.

Do I need a primer?

Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
