A soft synthetic flat for base coats, washes, gradations, and texture work.
Vallejo’s Effects brushes are flat synthetic brushes with soft, flexible fibres, described by retailers as ideal for base colours, straight lines, washes, colour gradations, and even textures and pigments. That makes the series one of the more versatile hobby brush lines in Vallejo’s range, bridging ordinary coverage and more specialised effect work. Compared with Blender, Effects is less about angled transition and more about broad, practical application. Compared with Shader, it is less wash-specific and more multi-purpose. For miniature painters, this is a sensible choice when a single flat synthetic needs to handle basecoat-style work and some effect application without being overly stiff. hobbyheaven
What makes this brush special
This brush should feel soft but still workable. The fibres need enough flexibility to spread paint smoothly, yet enough structure to manage lines and light texture work. That gives the brush a more relaxed feel than a hard synthetic flat, with better control over washes and transitions than a stiff bristle. It is a practical, do-everything flat for hobby tasks. malcsmodels.co

How to care for your brush
Clean after use with lukewarm water and a mild soap, removing any pigment or texture residue before it dries into the fibres. Because the brush is meant for effects work, it may see thicker materials than a normal flat, so thorough rinsing matters. Reshape the flat edge and store it protected from crushing. Avoid leaving it in water, and keep harsh thinners to a minimum unless the product line you are using requires them. mierce-miniatures
