Vallejo Metal Color Chrome 77.707 is a bright, reflective water-based metallic formulated with aluminium pigments. It is intended primarily for airbrushing scale models, where its self-levelling consistency forms an even metallic layer, but it can also be applied by brush for selected details. The 32 ml bottle provides a chrome tone for highly reflective metal surfaces. The dried layer adheres to plastic and metal, with 12 hours recommended before masking.
- Apply directly by airbrush or dilute with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver.
- Recommended air pressure: 15–20 PSI / 0.5–1 kg.
- Vallejo Gloss Black Primer is recommended as a base for aircraft finishes.
- Hinged-cap bottle with eyedropper closure and stainless steel stirring ball.
- Allow 12 hours before applying masking materials.

What's the difference between a paint and a wash?
Paints are opaque colour for coverage; washes are thin, pigmented fluids that flow into recesses to add shading and depth. Most painters use both.
Can I use these paints in an airbrush?
Many acrylics can be thinned for airbrushing — check the product description; ranges marked "Air" or "airbrush-ready" work straight from the bottle.
Do I need a primer?
Yes for bare plastic, resin or metal — primer gives paint a surface to grip and prevents chipping.
