An angled synthetic flat for blending, small-area coverage, and soft edge transitions.
Vallejo’s Blender brushes are synthetic flat angled brushes, and retailer descriptions say the angled cut allows painters to cover small areas precisely while also softening the stroke for blending effects. That makes the series distinct from a standard flat: the angled edge gives it more versatility, especially for controlled transitions on models and miniatures. In the hobby market, this is the kind of brush you buy when you want one flat to do a little more than just block in colour. Compared with Vallejo’s Effects or Shader brushes, Blender is more about shaping the transition than simply laying down paint or applying a wash. Compared with a conventional flat, it gives more useful edge contact for small, awkward spaces. mierce-miniatures
What makes this brush special
This brush should feel directional and flexible. The angled tip gives a sharper working edge on one side and a broader softening edge on the other, so the brush can place paint and blur the boundary in one motion. The synthetic fibre should keep the brush practical and easy to clean, while the shape provides the real performance advantage. It is a controlled blending tool rather than a general flat. malcsmodels.co

How to care for your brush
Wash the brush promptly with lukewarm water and mild soap after use, especially if acrylic paint has started to dry on the angled edge. Do not let the angle become bent or crushed in storage, because the shape is central to how the brush works. Reshape the edge gently and store it with the head protected. Synthetic fibre makes cleanup straightforward, but the angled profile still needs careful handling to stay useful. mierce-miniatures
