Tamiya 74128 pairs a 0.7 mm cutting tip with an oversized 1.0 mm shank for precise hand drilling. The pivot design seats securely in a pin-vise chuck and limits deviation at the tip, helping the hole remain centred. It is the 0.7 mm counterpart to 74127, providing a slightly larger bore while retaining the same reinforced shank arrangement. The bit is made from shatter-resistant material and comes in a protective plastic storage case.
Drill diameter: 0.7 mm with a 1.0 mm shank.
The wider shank gives the chuck a firmer hold than a 0.7 mm shaft would.
Shatter-resistant construction is noted on the packaging.
Supplied in a protective case.

Notes · Q & A
Sprue cutters or a hobby knife — what do I actually need?+
Cutters remove parts from the sprue cleanly; the knife trims the leftover nub and mould lines. You'll want both — they do different jobs.
What's the difference between single-blade and double-blade cutters?+
Single-blade cutters shear against a flat anvil for an ultra-clean cut with less stress on the plastic; double-blade cutters are tougher for general work.
How do I keep tools in good condition?+
Cut plastic only (never metal sprues or wire) with precision cutters, replace knife blades often, and keep files clear with a brass brush.
